Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father taught school and her mom was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick was a gifted artist and singer from a young age. She would put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. McCormick won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to join the show business. McCormick had her first significant task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for Wind It up and It's Broken by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The run of five years for the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in 2008. The book revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time and he was just 19. The woman said it might have been possible, but it was never the best time to do it.
