Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox had studied for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. Lennox lived on a student allowance and took on part-time employment to augment her funds. Lennox was able to make a change in her path in life after she became dissatisfied by her lack of skill in comparison with the other Royal Academy students. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. The group broke up prior to their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was the main vocalist of The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. It was here that she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her solo debut album Diva, which was released around 1992. This album became a huge success as well as selling and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independently-released album.
